Acro Workshop 101 • Sat, Oct 7 at 4:00PM • Friends of the Gym

We will do a circus inspired yoga warm-up and then get into the acro! Jenny teaches a combination of acro yoga, circus balance, and partner balance to try to give everyone a path into this fun form of exercise. We're going to cover the basics in Acro 101 and get a little tricky in Acro 102. We'll cover standing balances, table tops, L-sit base, being upside down, and some multi-partner moves. We're going to take our time covering technique, learning good form, and lots of spotting! Ending each session with some Thai yoga massage and a cool down. If you have experience, feel free to join us and switch up your usual base or flyer role. I hope to send you home inspired and with some fundamentals to keep you safe as you continue your practice.

Brought to you by Jenny Penny. Jenny is a jill of all trades; Aerialist, Acrobalancer, Fire performer, Circus entertainer, Burlesque dancer and Freak. She has been performing in Seattle and around the globe since 2004. For the past seven years she has been instructing partner balancing and aerial arts out of Emerald City Trapeze, offering public and private lessons. A certified yoga instructor, and fire arts coach as well. Her talents have been featured at venues such as The Gorge, WaMu Theater, Electric Daisy Carnival (Vegas, Delhi) and many local venues large and small.
